I'm looking for some help with a bad diskette.

Double clicking on the drive results in "The system cannot read from the drive specified."

A right click allows me to go to Properties, Tools and run Scandisk, which tells me the disk is "seriously damaged and may need to be replaced." The thorough test tells me it finds errors, which it promises to fix later, but still gives up at the end.

Other diskettes work fine, so I doubt it is a problem with the drive. The diskette has been well used over the last couple of years, but no recent abuse or accidents.

I looked for diskette-fixing utilities at ZD Net, but couldn't find anything that works on floppies. Will Norton Utilities fix a few bad sectors (if that's what it is)?

TIA
