Dan, thanks but this board was running with an Athlon 800/Windows 98 fine. When I upgraded to XP and a Tbird 1Ghz the problem appeared. I think I have the "both" option on, I've also tried the "disabled" option. I think the culprit is NOT XP but the 1Ghz TBird ( which worked fine in an ABit KT7a ) since the boot hangs happen before XP gets a chance to boot.

Dan, Re: It now needs to be reset 2-3 times to boot.

I just got my XP1800+ system up and running a few days ago, but have had numerous problems with Windows XP. I have a Duron 900 at work that just flies through Windows 98 with no problems. Windows XP has been a big headache!!!!
