There are 100 million Arabs in the Mideast. Israel must live with them, or close down shop, there is no alternative. On what terms, that is the question.

re - "thereby implying that the Jews should continue to live with the Arabs & allowing the murder rate to continue" A little perspective: As bad as the jewish/palestinian violence is, I doubt that the level of killings are much worse than the level seen in New York or Los Angeles during the late 80's - early 90's. IMHO the statement is correct, the Arab world needs to "learn that Israel will not disappear". Destruction of Israel will likely result in the destruction of the Arab World (American retaliation, not necessary)....One would hope that the destruction would just end there.
