All right, Michael, I promise that this is my last message on the subject. You can call it PCism or liberalism or some other -ism, but I think it's just a matter of basic decency and respect not to refer to someone, or a group of folks, by a label they find offensive. Is it just being PC not to call a person of Japanese descent a Jap? Again, I think it's just plain decency.

And I repeat what I said earlier, that I'm sure the President didnt use the word Paki with any malicious intent, and I dont consider him a racist. But some Pakistanis consider the word a slur, so I think that once you are aware of that, you ought to go to the trouble of adding a couple of more syllables when referring to someone from Pakistan.
