Sure we all listen to what they say, but the appearance is important also. If they don't pass that first test, I doubt if they get the chance to be listened to. It's part of the measuring process, and part of the cultural process. If we all grew up in a society where everyone wore shorts to work, then that attire would be acceptable. I guess.

I always wondered where the tie came in in a man's wardrobe. How did it start and why? I can see the suit maybe... Maybe it was simply just because they didn't have heat back then, and it was a way to keep warm and look good at the same time, I really don't know, but the tie???

There must be some basis for it. I can't imagine just dreaming that up, they're really uncomfortable.

The corset at least did something for the body, but the tie doesn't do anything, except choke you or rub your neck raw.
And half the men need their wives to tie one properly, anyway. LOL LOL.
