GLOBAL BEER CONSUMPTION UP 2.6%... BEERWeek reports that global beer consumption last year rose 2.6% from the previous year to 136.1 million kiloliters, the 15th straight year- on-year increase. The United States ranked No. 1 in consumption followed by China, Germany, Brazil and Japan, according to Kirin Brewery Co. The U.S. drank 23.2 million kiloliters, the Chinese followed closely at 22.0 million kiloliters.
