wbmw, yes I am. Hammer has a shorter pipeline but it has SOI to make up for it so I think their scaling will be similar.

Unless they redesigned Hammer, it won't reach the speeds of the P4. Hammer will have to rely on a PR rating.
Then again, there IS NO Hammer. SO what's the argument.
There is no .13u T-bred. SO why bother dissing it's scalability? All a bunch of FUD. The same was said when the Athlon moved from .25u to .18u and that process eventually got a 40% increase in clock. SO what. The T-bred still can't keep up with the Northwood.
OTOH, can anyone explain why Paul is going berserk? It's starting to worry me about my Intel investment.
