Joel:

My few SA golds have appreciated nicely and I should have traded them more actively in the past. I also want to take on more N.A. junior gold stocks. I don't have enough smarts to speculate on currencies, but if the Rand were to continue to weaken, at some point it begins to have repercussions for companies operating within that economy.

Just "movin' on" a bit here. (g)

Best, Earlie

just had recent breakouts on the prices of those miners -- there'll be a pullback that can be bought, but I'm taking a longer term view. Even if the dollar wilts -- the rand will not strengthen overnight, IMO

Yes, a good part of the run in those is due to the falling rand, but the price action says more, IMO

If your time horizon is measured in months, not days -- I'd hold these even though they have run considerably, FWIW

Doesn't hurt to trade around a core position -- different strokes for different folks
