It seems that the press is starting to recognize the cost advantages cdma carriers have over the competition, almost all the articles point out the lesser upgrade costs for cdma carriers.

I still find it hard to believe that AWE is gonna be successful with the mess they are planning to build out.

I still think there is a outside chance that carriers may choose the CDMA2000 overlay instead of WCDMA if PCS is succesful in the last half of this year. Of course this would require the MSM 6300 chip (1x/GSM/GPRS) being out 1H of 02 as scheduled. I wonder how the costs compare to WCDMA.
