I was just talking with a fellow that is trading the QQQ and he is saying that the min quantity IB will allow him to BUY is 100...How come? or is he being lied to?

Hal

Thanks Dan,

Everyone who has responded to my request for information and comments has been very complimentary of most of the services provided by IB.

There was a 10 minute wait on the telephone to speak with a person. There is no response to an email I sent yesterday to C/S. With a reliable trading system and excellent record keeping, this should be OK. I am assuming they do well on this...

Concerning margin policy, I wonder if IB has a minimum equity requirement tougher than 50% to buy and 30% min equity after that. What about stocks like the dot.com's and unusual concentration of stocks in hi technology, for example? I though most brokers require more than 30%...

Thanks,

Lonnie
