Yes, I understand that, and it is true, I am not nearly as familiar with him as you are. One of the problems is, though, that philosophy is foundational even for science. Science did not arrive at its method, or validate it, it grew out of philosophy, and arguments about the best way to approach the study of nature. Similarly, logic is a branch of philosophy. Already, then, you have pretty solid results. Yes, there are many residual disagreements, but that does not mean that the alternatives are not clarified in the process of debate, nor does it mean that there is no truth, only that certain key concepts are hotly contested, and hard to resolve......
