"a downswing has still not been triggered on the weekly charts."

Interesting! Do you think L<lowest(L,2)[1] might do it?
I'm using something different but always interested in
alternate methods.

Best regards, MM

Hi Michael. I appreciate your commentary. I particularly like the clarity of your explanations.

For me, these have been difficult markets to call, especially from about mid-December. And difficult markets to call, equate with difficult markets to trade, for me.

I used to post, on this thread, an Index signal summary, each evening. I may resume doing that for awhile, and perhaps even incorporate some other views on the signals.

Index Summary

Index Period - Weekend | After Monday

Dow Weekly - Hold | Hold

Dow Daily - Hold | Sell

Nasdaq Weekly - Buy | Buy

Nasdaq Daily - Buy | Hold

TSE Weekly - Buy | Buy

TSE Daily - Buy | Sell

Gold Bugs Weekly - Buy | Buy

Gold Bugs Daily - Buy | Buy

Oil & Gas Weekly - Hold | Hold

Oil & Gas Daily - Sell | Sell

There's an explanation of what these signals mean to me, and how I arrive at them, at
