Bramson must have had some reason for purchasing another million shares.

<< Does anyone know the extent of Ampex's involvement with HDTV and, if so, whether there may be any significant dollars to be made through licensing fees, etc. that might flow its way?>>

As far as I know AXC has certain core patents with bearing upon a variety of digital manipulations, Doug. We all had hopes for fresh royalty streams years ago - from both their once vibrant R&D and those old patents - but...as in the Mitsubishi case...it is easy to steal them. Tough to make any litigation stick. I cannot imagine a weaker negotiating position than the one they find themselves in now. If they can somehow negotiate any DVD or HDTV royalties out of any company nowadays, it would be alchemy indeed.

Like many others, I do hope for somewhat improved ADS sales...enough to at least manage a positive cash flow for that division...but if the fourth quarter numbers had been truly exceptional, I think they would have prereleased the news by now.

Fervently hope I am wrong, but my opinion is that it will take a near miracle ...or some company's massive charity... for AXC to meaningfully pull up from this long nosedive now. Hope we see a price north on 1 again, but I doubt that we will. In the meantime, adept and nimble traders MAY make out OK to a modest degree.
