Would it be possible for Israel to treat its indigenous population with respect? After all, shouldn't Jews feel some compassion towards the oppressed, given their history?

All this talk of "occupiers" makes it sound like they just want to get rid of the Jews.

This is a thought that has been systematically drilled into your head by your people, so I can't blame you for this. In general, Jews are the most indoctrinated people by far, when it come to this issue.

The reality is that Israel is constantly (today, right this minute) taking land from Palestinians. They are bulldozing houses, building new settlements, stealing water. This is the primary source of anger and resentment.

I think if the problem was worded differently, you may see the problem in a different light.

The Zionists would like you to believe that the Palestinians want to get rid of the "Jews" but in actuality, they wish to get rid of the Americans, Europeans and others who have come to Palestine and established (occupied actually) a Jewish State over the objections of the Arab world, using the Holocaust refugees as a springboard to accomplish it.

It is in the best interests of the Zionists to create a image of another Jewish persecution as opposed to a question of colonialism and occupation.
