You missed my post #3851:YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST... (OK, I missed the actual stage by a few miles --NY & WA instead of Milano & Rome) Monday, Apr 9, 2001 12:28 PM Anyway, Carolyn, you've missed the point: my argument was not about the Talebans' obscurant mores --which I condemn readily-- but about the looming possibility of yet another terrorist deception crafted by both EU secret services and the Mossad. The scheme is very straightforward: by putting the blame on alleged Taleban terrorists (probably helped by Albanian militiamen), the official yarn will give credit to Putin's claim that Russia and Europe (and Israel, of course) are facing the same threat --that is, Islamic terrorism. The stage of such a devious plot might be Italy (Berlusconi and his far-rightist running mates would love it....) and the targets.... well, US assets in Italy might be at risk. See, that way, the transatlantic lobby would kill two birds with one stone: kickstarting the Euro-Russian task force AND hooking the Bush administration on their Muslim-bashing bandwagon.... Quite a devilment, isn't it? Gus. From: Message 15636520 BTW, I'm afraid that US "intelligence" isn't the relevant benchmark any more.... Re: 2) do you really think that the countries you mention would take that kind of risk, are they so stupid that they believe that the USA will never know? Make no mistake, dude: your brave US gov. is perfectly aware of the true story --they just make sure the booboisie remains clueless... and feed your favorite news networks accordingly. Re: 3) do you really think that the USA would be bombing a bunch of moron arabs in Afghanistan if they knew that it was other countries responsible for the WTC? LOL... How many "moron Arabs" did your Air Force actually bomb?? And remember, you've been dropping bombs AND food supplies. Well, if your humanitarian folks were not as stupid as to paint the foodboxes in the same color as the bombs then the collateral death-toll would have been even smaller.... Seriously now, if you wanna see what "bombing ugly Arabs" means, just have a squint at Chechnya/Grozny. Re: 4)The cold war made it very clear that a onfrontation between superpowers would result in no winners what do the countries you mention have to gain by doing something as stupid as what you say? And what did the Taleban and Bin Laden have to gain by doing it?? Besides, keep in mind that the INITIAL plot was not that foolish: I've repeatedly told you that these terrorists were supposed to carry out CLASSIC hijacks --not suicide raids! Hence, it's my opinion that the assassination of Massoud by the Russians just swerved the whole scheme out of control.... Gus
