See, that way, the transatlantic lobby would kill two birds with one stone: kickstarting the Euro-Russian task force AND hooking the Bush administration on their Muslim-bashing bandwagon.... And what did the Taleban and Bin Laden have to gain by doing it?? Besides, keep in mind that the INITIAL plot was not that foolish: I've repeatedly told you that these terrorists were supposed to carry out CLASSIC hijacks --not suicide raids!
