IMHO, an error followed by a chained reaction of stop orders. <

I see there were not that many trades however on the 1M chart the up and down bar had the highest trade volume of the day for any given 2 minutes, even more than the open, so I think there were at least a couple big butts in there as well... ;)

For anyone interested..I lost forty points on a stop with Interactive Brokers on that big futures spike..I was short with a stop at 1626 and when they spiked it they went right through my stop and filled me at 1666...then they told me that it was too bad..Globex was letting all trades stand..

I was leveraged large and the result was that my trading acct. was cut in half in less than a minute.. I can understand bad fills but forty points....!!!!!!!!! it seems criminal to me....I'm still in shock . the most I've ever lost on a stop with IB prior to this was a point.and that was in a "fast market"..

losing forty points on a stop shouldnt be possible ...
