i don't know if someone already mentioned this... but I think the problem you had was exacerbated at IB because IB holds stops in-house rather than in Globex. you may have saved a few points if your stop was already loaded at Globex, but that's how the cookie bounces... sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.
