"My point is if you have held all the way down to these levels, there is not much point in selling especially if you are taking a long term view." If you held to the bottom or bought thereabouts this is a gift of an opportunity to take some money out before stocks head back down. As for the long-term, stocks already have prices which correspind to speculative values based on mulltiples of 2003 -- this is a market for the foolish. Liquidity has down precious little in January -- a time of maximum strength. Look out below. Here we go.
