Did anyone besides me see Gretchen Morgenson on the McNeill-Lehrer show tonight?

What a tough cookie! Looks just as firm and nonsensical (and attractive) in person as on the pages of the NY Times. I wish she were in the White House.

Only one thing: she has these gleaming white teeth that reflect the TV camera lights. I don't know whatyou do about that. Can't very well brush your teeth with eye shadow.

I guess she'll just have to be what she is. But when you look at what the make-up people did with Sue Herera (who was really very attractive anyway), you wonder what they could do with Gretchen.

Maybe it's better just to have an honest and intelligent person, unglamorized but beautiful, telling us the truth.

I usually don't watch this kind of stuff, but...

I was channel surfing after CSI last night (I watch it for the science. I've got to get a copy of the photo software they use. You know, the kind that makes the image sharper as you zoom in.)

Did you catch Russell Crowe with Diane Sawyer last night? I've been Down Under twice and, despite being a card-carrying misanthrope, I can honestly say that I have never met an Aussie I didn't like. But I've never met Russell Crowe. And I don't want to. What a sphincter!!

Even when he's trying to be earnest, he comes off like a butt plug of the highest order. Guess he's been in Hollywood too long.

I know you're watching the markets this AM. Can you spell V-O-L-A-T-I-L-I-T-Y? Wow, what a week! Starting to remind me of '87.
