You don't understand religious fanaticism as it cradles meaning. What would you bet that had the US refused to grant them an Emperor and taken out two more Japanese cities, they would have dropped that? And had Tokyo been one of them, I guarantee they would have dropped it. Because the Emperor would be dead. PROTECTION OF CIVILIAN POPULATIONS AGAINST BOMBING FROM THE AIR IN CASE OF WAR.
