You beat me to it, posting the INTC capex. CNBC says semiequips lower in afterhours trading. IMO, the retail sales numbers are more important than the INTC capex. If consumer spending holds up, the semis will see margins and capacity utilization improve steadily, and the semis will be increasing capex. And, as long as consumers keep consuming, the stock market will continue to ignore the defaulting Argentinas and the delisting Enrons.
