Agreed. However, it will be impossible to get anything done at all in congress for the rest of this year.

This is a election year and the democrats don't want to see any economic progress because a roaring economy is very bad for their candidates. That's why the spending bill is dead, dead, dead.

From now on you will see a lot of wasted air time the parties draw the same stupid lines in the sand again.

Democrats will say the republicans have screwed up the economy, laid off a million+ workers and taken all the money from the poor. The Republicans will say the democrats and blocking any progress.

Yack, yack, yack, yack.

It will be interesting to see how slow or quickly the economy recovers without any help (in fact probably some hinderance) from congress.
