What is so great about JNPR, even relatively or in comparison with 2000-2001?

In my opinion, it is the ability to run a profitable business even when Revenues plunge so much. That sets them apart from a lot of other tech. I was looking to add this one after the earnings...if it drops.
(they actually had a small loss from charges in Dec quarter but in general they seem to report positive net income--that is what I recall)

Remember this industry went through a very bad 2001. The market may be willing to bet that the most depressed sector of 2001 has a "chance" to recover in 2002. We have already seen the Intel types do OK in 2001 but the telecom equipment/networkers got hit really hard. Investors may be willing to take a chance on this group in 2002.

IMHO, a lot of these stocks got unloaded by funds in 2001 and supply/demand in that sense could help the group as well. Might as well take a chance with a beaten up sector instead of buying PC related stocks.
