Your only cost basis is the price of the leap, which reduces your risk, and that could be reduced to zero in a relatively short time."

Could you please explain the spread strategy you were referring to in your prior note. I'm a real newbie to options and I don't quite understand how the spread (including leaps) works. Thanks.

I did some hunting today for brokers that will permit spreads in an IRA account. I have found 3 that say they will.

Benjamin & Jerold stockoptions.com
Wall Street Access wsaccess.com
OptionsXpress optionsxpress.com

I'm wondering if anyone has experience, good or bad, with any of them for any type of account.
