Well, even though the CC was a bit gloomy re the economic outlook, and the fools are mistaking capex lowering by Intel as a weakness for Intel

With 12" wafers producing ~2.4X as many die per wafer, the need for new fabs is reduced significantly, thus a lowered need for capex. The fact that Intel is now in production on 300mm wafers is a major accomplishment that can't be overstated.

I haven't seen a single analyst react negatively about the capex. In fact, the lower capex was a primary reason that Charlie Galvin upgraded the stock.
