Well not quite. Yes the 300mm could have twice as many chips than 200mm. But that suggest they've have equal yield, and this could be true. But each system cost should be about 150% of the 200mm. So his math could work out if the yield on the 300mm equals 200mm, but this is not certain.

Some are saying that intel will be so efficient on 12" production that they will down-bin P4's to take lower end market share. If that should prove true, it will mark a sea change for the processor market.
