Sam, Dorsey Wright's (DW) support line for AMAT is at $41. Many times AMAT bounces off the support line. However, I have seen a shakeout take place whether the stock drops $10 only to bounce to Tito's YO YO effect.

You have pointed out the reason I like to look at the max pain chart and figue a range rather than a single point on the chart. The slope of the two curves combined, V or U, makes a big difference in the range.
