juniper should have bought some switching company (extreme or foundry or ...) that way they would had been able to
penetrate the enterprise market. i think they made a mistake
by just staying in routing market. now its hurting them
badly.

The economic climate is not good for any company in the biz, but it is this kind of climate that should strengthen Cisco and could eviscerate Juniper.

Cisco has the management and the money to do it. Talent is also comparatively cheap these days, another boon to Cisco.
