I saw a report where it said it doesn't make any sense for Nissan to keep the Maxima because they upgraded the Altima to that class. A fully loaded Altima can run close to $30K!

Altima was impressive, it's NOT the one they used to make.
I would say Altima was better than Maxima, I tried them both.

Right now Altima is so popular, the dealer will add more packages to jack up the price. It's difficult to find the Altima with just basics.

Also, if you want to go with Altima, I would suggest you go with V6. I find it big difference in V4 and V6 in Altima.
(Not that much difference in Camry)
