Neocon, If they intend to honor only the act, and not the men, they should not show any distinguishable, ethnic, features. Perhaps not people at all. There were a lot of cops that died attempting rescues. One could make the point that cops did not raise the flag, but firemen did. If one does make that point, then the proper thing becomes to depict the actual fire fighters involved.

I'm not fretting. Just venting.

Since the Magi came to Bethlehem from the East, how could one of them been Caucasian riding a camel? I suppose there were the ancestors of the white Russians at that time, but the distance, and the question as to whether they ever rode a camel, makes me wonder. BTW, the Scripture says that the Magi came from the east, but without looking it up again, I do not recall any mention of them riding camels in the first place. Anyway, I prefer to deal in the actuality, rather than what has become tradition at the whims of humans.

neo, A real event occurred and real individuals did the deeds. If an image of the deed is inspirational then this is a case of a real individuals being the inspiration. Any rememberance of a real event should consider first honoring the individuals who created the inspiration. The race of the individuals is not important. America is about individuals and we celebrate individuals for what they do. We don't celebrate what white or black or what people do. We do not celebrate race, we celebrate and honor individuals for their actions.
We don't celebrate groups. Well I don't and I think it was stupid to adjust ethnic representation to some idiot's idea of political correctness. But if a Jewish group can give the rapist mr. bill a 100 grand to come and lie to them I'm not surprised that stupidest that ever was think is still alive.
