Actually, I think Isreal should sell the entire country to the arabs, and move to Argentina. By doing that they would remove themselves from harms way, the arabs would take over and in 20 years they would be living in another craphole, the Argentenians would be saved from their plight, and the freeworld could deal with the problems they create without worrying about what would happen to the Isreallies.

According to UN Res. 242, the occupied territories (but not necessarily all of them) should be returned to Egypt and Jordan, with final boundaries settled by negotiations. Until then their final status remains unresolved.

Returning them is problematic, since both Egypt and Jordan have disclaimed them (Egypt took the Sinai back in 1979, but refused Gaza). The PLO says Israel must give everything back to them for the new state of Palestine, but that's their interpretation; it doesn't actually say that if you read it.

BTW, during the Oslo period, 100,000 Jewish settlers moved into the territories. 500,000 Arabs moved in as well.

What a loaded question "If Israel does not include the occupied territories, then why does Israel have the right to build settlements there?"

- imho, Judea & Samaria are mentioned repeatedly in the Bible - they're part of the Jewish homeland - Jews are citizens of Judea & Samaria; not "settlers" - & Judea & Samaria are in central Palestine - the term "West Bank" is totally contrived
