I am not sure about the exact unit numbers (AMD still hasn't posted the financial statement on their homepage and on Yahoo the CPG revenue number is missing). But it looks like AMD only sold 7.8 million units in Q4:

The company expects that PC processor unit shipments in the first quarter will remain at or near the record level of 7.8 million units with average selling prices at or near the $90 level of the fourth quarter of 2001.

Hey! Since AMD actually sold only 7.8M (NOT 8.4M) units in Q4, are you saying they are lying thru their teeth?!! Or can't count?
