So it would seem that we have similar views.

I am entertaining the idea that we may have to test the September lows. I feel kinda foolish saying that with the earnings that came out today (which were actually not too bad), but I really feel that we are going to have a credit backlash.

Anecdotally, I know of several people who really didn't cutback on holiday spending and used credit cards to finance that spending. And several of these people also took out home loans and didn't pay off the credit card debt. My wife was telling me about someone this morning, who did just that.

I also worry about the corporate spending that may have been stimulated by low interest rates. Where it may have helped the fourth quarter, it may also have stolen sales from future quarters. (same concept as the 0% auto loans).
