Milo, Re: "It would be a WAG as AMD stated they expected to complete Transition to 130nm at Year end. I would surmise that's why volumes where down. I think Q1 and Q2 will really tell the tale of Fab 30's output and yields."

Volumes weren't down. They were up. Hector says that Fab30 line yield was in the upper 90's, so I imagine die yield is also good. Jerry reiterated that 50M unit / year number from Dresden in 2003, so I assume they are eventually shooting for 12.5M Hammer processors per quarter. It's a stretch goal, for sure, but more power to AMD if they can do it. Jerry claims that 50M CPUs per year from their one fab and 10M CPUs from foundaries will allow them to reach 30% MSS well before 2005. You ought to be equipped with his actual claims before you start coming up with second rate guesses.
