Hi LindyBill; Re: "While [Jane Fonda] was [in Hanoi], among other things, she identified a POW as a Green Beret Intelligence Officer, which resulted in additional torture to him."

Sounds like a myth to me. But she should have been tried and stuck in jail for the trip anyway.

I doubt Fonda would know who was who when she went to Vietnam, which makes the story seem implausible (seem, I said).

She was representing a pacifist viewpoint in a stupid way that clearly demoralized some of our POWs and she deserved - and got - considerable censure for that. Some years later, when it finally dawned on her how stupid she had been, she apologized and has made efforts to rectify her mistake.

Comparing that with a guy picking up a gun willing to kill his fellow citizens seems silly.

To do what some claim she did, someone would have had to go out of their way to notify her the ranks and missions of several soldiers and she would have had some motive to pass on the info. Nothing has ever come to light to indicate who would hand her that info or why, or to demonstrate she has ever made an effort to want to cause physical harm to another, which leads me to suspect this is a myth.

Walker was, at least, ready to kill fellow citizens, and it sounds like it'll be easily proven.
