Valuepro, good analysis and appreciate your comments. I do not know the quanities, need to dig it, but there were stones reported over 1mm. Yes, I agree .1 to .5 means NIL. Although I am not as technical as you guys but I consider myself a pioneer with diamond stocks, since 90. People I am in touch translate the techie stuff to what is needed..lol Ashton's mangement and technical experience is awesome. Rio's involvement gives me a comfort level. The only shame is Rio will buy out the remaining float before Ashton ever gets an opportunity to move into operational. Rumor is Ashton will announce a 200-400t bulk with K252, a small pipe. Infrastructure in Alberta is 1/2 what it would cost in the Slave area. They still have not given up with Buffalo Hills. They will be poking 7 anomolies, close by to K252. They refuse to give up! lol

All aside from the technical talk, four houses have written research reports on the Coronation and Quebec play. Bolder, PI, DS, Merril Lynch are awaiting the 2002 workplan and surface sampling from Ashton before their research paper is released. Difficult to go against the bullish market tide. It would take some lousy numbers before the hype on this one reverses. This is what makes the game fun. Debates and all. I've had folks comment Ashton was done at 1.50, 2.00, 2.50, 3.00, 4.00... Frank feels comfortable the next announcement will spike the cost to new highs. Will it trade to $8.00, as it did in 97? Too early to say, but $5.00 is sure achievable, no later than the next few weeks....just my cents worth, before calling it quits. Talk to you all tomorrow!

one more thing, two good books I read, Barren Lands by Kevin Kaljic and Diamonds by Matthew Hart. Matthew is responsible for writing a story on Frank Famularo in 1997.. LOL.. What a hoot of a writeup... Attention, exactly what I needed from you know who! O S C ....frank

one of the standard measuring gages for early diamond exploration is to drill a hole in the ground anywhere from 10 to 300 meter deep hoping that one will intersect Kimberlite, when the Kimberlite is intersected it is logged and measurements/wts taken for further examination by Geologist/explorers,then sent off for Caustic Fusion analysis to determine if the Kimberlite core is Diamondiferous.
You already know this because you have been posting on these threads for years.
Ashton is at this point in their North Slave exploration and the results they have received from the Artemisia and Potentilla relate Micro/Macro diamond counts that are equal to any (but a few) of the early samples of the Diavik, Ekati and Snap Lake CF results. This is fact.
You are making veiled comparisons to Ashtons early days in the Alberta, Buffalo Hills explorations.
I suspect you have not done any due diligence at all regards Aca/North Slave play but are basically just shooting from the hip as well as the mouth.
Otherwise I have always enjoyed your post's you have always appeared to be knowledgeable until now.
regards.....Chuck

ValuePro, since you have access to the private forum on stockhouse, there is a table created by Graeme Currie comparing selective early macro counts to Diamet/Aber. 3.68 macros/10kg are the initial counts on the Artemisia pipe. More core and surface currently being processed. Artemisia results may be communicated within the next few days. regards Frank

argyle was a new discovery and Im not sure thier geology would apply to some of the stuff in slave or jbl or otish and definitely not wawa. It might apply to TGR who are using some of the same geos who found Argyle - but ARg was dissed initally.
As for grade curves - while some such as BD or K mayhave better curves - almost all the labs have the technologly to dothem. MDRI will do them for a fee that I know. The other thing that these curves can tell ya is when someone else(read DB or K) proceses your samples and gives ya results, whether they are telling the truth apparently. The industry has come a long way since ekati and the 'secret' stuff is a lot less secret and is making life more difficult for DB and K as everyone figger outs how to run checks on these guys and thier work.
