violent vs nonviolent crime is the issue
our society loves to come down hard on violent crime
I will take a fist to the face, with bloodied nose anyday compared to what Enron people were hit with

money and influence buys time out of jail cells
just ask Michael Jackson (child molestation)
just ask Ted Kennedy (wrongful death, murder?)

at least Keating served some time on the Farm

I was very pleased to see some documents surface on Enron-Anderson
many had to survive, and did

That article will bring down Anderson & whom ever from Enron who were involved in those illegal shenanigans. I can't see how Lay gets off without jail time. I can't see how Anderson survives if that article & other reports about this debacle are true.

However, historically the penalty for white collar crime is not commensurate with the offense............. regardless of the political party in the White House. I don't expect any of these criminals to serve much real time, nor do I expect much in the way of fines or recovery of Enron exec's who sold their stock prior to the collapse.
