Scott, the S&L scandal was the biggest debacle in decades. many CEO's, top exec's, etc., walked away with many millions of ill gotten gains............ few served any time......... and those that did, received very light sentences.......... meanwhile taxpayers got bilked out of hundreds of billions to bail out the system. I don't doubt there will be cries to make examples of these crooks......... in the end, their punishment will not be commensurate with their crimes & a bunch of Enron exec's will still be wealthy & free............ mark my words.......... history will repeat here......... like it historically has for white collar crime.
