<<there is no real "save" currency>>

That is why I started buying physical (GoldMoney) around a year ago. Now with me immagrating to the UK I need get CC to accept £ instead of $. He is refusing so far but I am on the case!

I stopped buying physical about 6 months ago because now I have to buy a house. When I suggested to the bank here that I might want to use gold for the down payment they went HUH?
So I have been converting a lot of $ into £ lately.

<Just talked to a friend of mine who complained about our (canadian) $, and that he is thinking to change most of his money into US$, that made me think.>

IMO, not a brilliant idea. He should move partially to GoldMoney and keep his CAD. The USD is expensive, overowned, oevrbought.

< The US$ is sliding too, there is no real "save" currency, the only solution in my mind is buying Gold and Silver, in kind and in equities!>

I agree. And with the gold debit cards coming up, I see no reason to keep either CAD or USD" It will be for me, GoldMoney and Equities.

Hi Eva,
finance.yahoo.com

Other alternatives. I owned FAX but switched to FAP(TSE) (Canadian version) which is performing better @ the 7.55 range. FAX is reducing its dividend. FAP and FAX have a similar intent but are not the same fund. I own it as a hedge (read bet against the US buck). I don't think our Cannabuck will fair as well as some other currencies 'when' the greenback declines.

And yes I own gold. NEM, ELD, NGT, SWG and I'm still on the bid for some. Traded out of Kinross too early last week and sold the balance of my BAY today.

regards
Kastel
