11:21 ET Bin Laden : The Independent, a London newspaper, is reporting that an al-Qaeda informant who approached US forces in Kandahar claims to have detailed information on the whereabouts of Bin Laden and is interested in the $25 mln reward; that this informant exists has been widely reported and confirmed by the US, but the Independent is the first source that we know of that has reported on the Bin Laden claims.
