Comrad Joe - Would you care to compare PROFITS with Intel?

Where's Mine Jerry is always ready to report a metric -- a new one to meet the occasion -- that shows what a wonderful job he is doing.

Of course the metric keeps changing because AMD goes into the tank. When the profits go in the tank he picks revenue ratios. When market share drops he uses a number on Japan consumer market, whatever the hell that is. When total PC processor share drops Q4 over Q3, he uses market share increased in 2001.

And you and rest of the AMDrhoids suck it all up. Slurp, slurp, slurp.

Joe, when AMD's profits are non-existent, Jerry "Where's Mine" Sanders pounds on their revenue-share gains. When AMD's revenue-share is low, Jerry pounds on their market-share gains. And when AMD's market-share is dismal, Jerry pounds on the notion that Intel is a big bad monopoly.

And you're complaining about Otellini? Give me a break.

Jozef, the fact that Jerry Sanders can continue to come up with new metrics to define his success, and that he can continue to convince people that these metrics mean that AMD is doing a great job against their competitors, proves what a great salesman he is. As others have mentioned, he will be first to step on the shoulders of Intel in order to shout his mighty accomplishments in dollar market share, and still conveniently ignore all the previous metrics he used to prove how great AMD has done in the past. These metrics included unit market share, revenues, and profits. Now that these things are in the dumps, Jerry invents dollar market share. And the AMDroids will buy right into it - just watch. AMD now has a new goal, and people will argue that this has been their goal all along.
