with two VERY big boys doing CCs after hours I think you may see max-pain [tm] effect swamped by 'real news' effect. Of course it's easy to make this statement after seeing market reaction.

Sam, Sorry for the delay in responding. I've remained on the sidelines while watching the big tech earnings news play out this week. Plenty of missed opportunities for this bear, but like I like to say, there's always another play. To answer your question, my guess is that AMAT stays down tomorrow. Just for the helluvit, I'll throw out a $40.50 AMAT closing price for Friday. I also think she'll break below $40 over the near term, FWIW.
