I running under Win98SE right now. I'm thinking of upgrading to Windows XP, but I'm reluctant to upgrade on my current hard drive. I write software for a living and can't afford a messed up drive.

Hard drives are cheap so I was thinking of buying another one and installing XP from scratch. Can I install XP on a new drive from a DOS prompt? Any other pointers, suggestions?
