Despite this similarities I think it would be unfair and inaccurate to call Hitler a liberal, but it is similarly unfair and inaccurate to call him a conservative. Using either word to describe Hitler expands that word to such an extent that it loses meaning and becomes to imprecise to be useful. Tim, I have described Hitler as a conservative gone amok. Maybe a better description would be a dictator with conservative leanings........same with Franco and Stalin. But I am not the first to describe these guys as right wing. Its commonly understood that their roots come from a conservative philosophy. ted
