ImageSoft's New Titan Enterprise Edition Document Imaging Software Suite Provides Unmatched Flexibility and Functionality for the Financial Services Industry
Architected to be Platform and Database Independent, This Next Generation Software is Positioned to Easily Integrate With the Diverse Technologies of Today and Tomorrow
biz.yahoo.com
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2002-- ImageSoft Technologies, a unit of Fiserv, Inc.,(Nasdaq:FISV - news) in Maitland, Florida, today unveiled its new Titan Enterprise Edition (Titan e2) imaging software suite, calling it the most fully functional, flexible and robust system on the market today. With object-oriented, browser-based applications, this new enterprise-wide image archive offers the promise of integration with virtually any other past, present or future technology, according to Ron Thompson, president, ImageSoft Technologies.

``Although it shares the Titan name, the software is not merely an upgrade of a previous product. We have created a completely new architecture for Titan e2 to produce a suite that is unsurpassed in terms of its flexibility and functionality,'' said Thompson. He added, ``Working under the conviction that imaging is mission-critical, we've created a reliable, high-volume, high-performance, enterprise-wide repository solution for any document type in the banking environment.''

Titan e2 provides financial institutions with one image repository that can be used by all departments across the enterprise (i.e. customer support, cash management, teller, home banking, check processing).

This is possible because the image-enabled software suite was built to handle high volumes with high-performance processing speeds. Titan e2 is currently installed and fully functional at some of the largest banks in the US.

A key benefit of this new product suite is data repurposing. Through our ``anything in, anything out'' approach, documents in a wide variety of formats can be ingested, recomposed, transformed and rendered in many diverse formats -- and all of this without having to re-write any of the code. For example, print streams are easily reformatted for use on the web or in e-mail correspondence.

Titan e2 was built using ``CORBA'' (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and the Internet programming language Java. The combined use of CORBA and Java has created a system that is architected to integrate with different systems, regardless of platform, database, operating system, programming language or network hardware/software used.

``The inherent openness of Titan e2 helps our customers better manage change by freeing them from the restrictions of their current hardware, database, printer and desktop vendors and positioning them to take advantage of new `best of breed' technologies as they arise,'' said Thompson. ``The flexibility of this system helps protect our clients' imaging investment by positioning them to leverage existing or acquired assets within whatever image strategy they choose in the future.''

Java programming enables the system to link to other web-centric applications - on-line banking, for example. Because Titan e2 is built for the web, it can efficiently accommodate current and future web initiatives including on-line banking, cash management and online viewing for onsite and remote users.

Thompson added that the scalability of Titan e2 allows financial institutions to incrementally add power when needed as a result of growth or acquisition, ensuring that they will not outgrow the system. Titan e2 supports all major capture, print and storage platforms.

System features/benefits include:

Easy integration with check processing, call center, teller/platform automation, data warehousing/mining, home banking and web application systems, as well as core applications
Enhanced client communications including composition and formatting tools for document re-engineering
Intelligent forms processing for operational efficiency and automated fraud detection
Browser-based viewer with visually appealing, easy-to-use screen formats
Additional Titan e2 functionality includes:

Image statements Data transformation
Central and distributed image archive Electronic distribution
Decision support High-speed export
