I agree. When Reagan came into office, the max tax rate was 70%! Which is a nice decline, though, from the unbelievable 91% (which wasn't the highest ever) when Kennedy came into office. And cutting that rate from 70% to 33% by 1990, is there any question as to a correlation between lower taxes and higher employment? I think, ignoring these numbers, and instead proposing a tax increase (which is what Kennedy wants, because my tax rate in 04 is already law, changing the law to increase it in 04 is a tax increase) is not only stupid, it is traitorous. It is knowingly causing harm to the economic well being of our country in a time of war. But, that is my opinion. Perhaps, some will say Kennedy is just a big fat idiot.
