That's right.........the Arab/Muslim factions that hate the US and threaten our peace developed that hatred on their own with no action or input from us.

Are you sympathizing with those sorry excuses for human beings? You sound like Clinton!!!

Look, they can hate us from now on and I could care less. But when they do threaten our peace they must do so at their own peril. This stupid attitude that somehow "we caused" them to hate is nothing short of sick.

The US is big and powerful and relatively secular, it also has influence and spreads its cultural ideas all over the world. People like bin Laden would hate us even if we never intervened in the Middle East. And the intervention that relates most directly to bin Laden's anger is the stationing of solider in Saudi. None of them are in or near Mecca, and there is nothing sacred about Dhahran or Riyadh in Islamic tradition but for some reason there presence in the same country, even if very far away annoys OBL. The soldiers where there to protect bin Laden's home country from foreign invasion, not for some nefarious purpose. Any transgression by the US exists entirely in the deluded minds of people like bin Laden. If America thought like bin Laden it would be a scary thing indeed but fortunately we are not so full of hate or desire to impose our ways on others by force.
