I had a large order to buy at 40

Don't you know that if you really want it, you always have to go a penny higher? <g>

I had another 500 to buy at 40 also. So it goes. Friday should be interesting. It wouldn't surprise me if they gun for both ends of the range and close nearer 45 to cause max pain to outstanding option positions.

OT-Fiber Optics: Jacob, This presentation by NUFO on 1/8/02 may be of some interest to you or some other members of the thread. Per this info, very depressing for the industry in general, and especially for fiber sales (e.g. Corning). Maybe the "experts" will have it all wrong again when this industry finally does start to recover. Some like GLW here though (e.g. Legg Mason fund manager Bill Miller + mentioned in some recent magazine articles). I am out of GLW at this point, but maybe fiber sales overseas will save the company at some point.

Regarding NUFO, the stock is trading below cash value with no debt at this point. I am not saying it is a good investment though.

Regards,

John
