Nice call on NIR.T! Might go right down to the wire...

Hi, Al:

Got a little lucky with the timing. I was feeling awfully cheap on the pick in the first 3 days, up 30% on a whopping 15k shares traded!

Martin:

did you keep this one in mind since may or did you dig it up and realize that the date is approaching?

I've known about it for about 18 mos...really got interested in it once they announced that they had won the appeals on the liability portion of the suit in Sept. Glad I haven't been a shareholder when this lawsuit started in 1991!

A few things still to be cautious:

- No idea what the damages will be; it's up to the courts now. Obviously, Iamgold has a different opinion of how much it should be.

- Any large judgement in favor of Kinbauri will in all likelihood be appealed by Iamgold, and Kinbauri will go into hibernation for another several months until the appeal is heard.

- PAL (.v?) gets a % of any judgement, up to a few million.

Regards,
Geoff
