Destroying the homes of civilians is precisely the type of action that an enlightened state does not do, under any circumstances.

Under any circumstances? Even if the civilians have already been driven off, and the homes used for shooting galleries?

Len, this is lot of hogwash, if these were occupied buildings, where s the outcry on all the bodies? None found. These were deserted buildings serving as snipers hideout and under them tunnels for smuggling arms. They checked the building by IR before destruction to make sure they were deserted and for months no lights were emanating from the windows. Someone shoots at you from the cover of a building, you try and make sure no innocents by standers get hurt and you raze the deserted buildings, what is wrong with that? Of course, sending a human bomb to a Bat Mitzva party, that is the heights of humane behavior.
